It happens a little too often that we fail to appreciate the little things in life, the small surprises that life springs upon us out of nowhere. Like if you turn on the radio and it plays you a song that's been playing in your head for a while. Or a song you really love, but haven't heard in a while. Or if you're really missing a friend, and they suddenly call you. Or just bump into you online. Or the cafeteria at work serves your favourite dish, and, for once, it's been cooked just right. For once, you reach work smoothly, with no traffic jams anywhere, and no excruciatingly long waits for a red light to turn green. Just for once, you do something at work just right the first time round and in half the allocated time. One fine day, everybody tells you how great you're looking. The friend you thought was probably going to forget your birthday or just write you an email is the first to call and wish you just as the clock strikes twelve.
There are little, happy surprises lurking around everywhere. If only we keep our eyes and ears peeled for them, we'd find a little extra spring in our step every single day.

does "loading ur portable music player with 5 songs u like just b4 u leave for a 3hr long drive and setting the mode on random and then getting to hear all 5 songs in the first 7 dat the played during d journey" qualify as "the little thing in life"? if yes, den i had a pretty darn gud day :D
If you think you had a good day, you definitely did, sir! It's a matter of attitude. That's all I was trying to say here.
Life is too short and we should be happy and show gratitude to the circumstances which bring these joyous moments :)
In fact, if we don't appreciate these small happinesses, life becomes a burden on us...
