Spreading The Joy

You may not always realize or acknowledge it, but it's really important for your happiness that the people around you are happy. If you're feeling low and blue, there's no better way to lift your spirits than to do something that brings a smile to someone else's face. Or just to share other people's joy. I haven't very often been of much use to someone who's been feeling blue, but whenever I have, it's always given me a nice, warm glow from deep within. Whenever I've tried to forget my own worries for a bit to participate in someone else's celebration, I've felt really cheerful and devoid of worry. Nothing matches up to the feeling of knowing that someone else is feeling good because of you. That you were able to bring a smile to someone's face. Or simply that, someone you care about is happy as can be. Life is short. Spread a few smiles.

Well Said! Plus - it doesn't have to be some grand and glorious gift - a kind deed, nice word small gift can (and will) make all the difference in the world! The thing is - doing it all year long, instead of just at Christmas Time.

We should be spreading joy everyday!

Hmm... sometimes I go into this philosophical sort of mode, after a discussion with a friend or watching a serious movie or reading something... this time it was after multiple conversations with multiple friends, so it was a little heavier than usual.
